MusiQuest Jr. Classes
Level 1 (3 or 4 years old)

This 45-minute class is designed for the child and parent/caregiver to participate together. Students will learn basic rhythm patterns, music notation, and terminology. Keeping a steady beat will be reinforced through movement and playing instruments. Music is explored through songs and games in a fun, structured environment. | ![]() |
Level 2 (4 or 5 years old)
This one-hour class is designed for children to explore music together in a classroom setting. While all parents/caregivers are welcome to observe classes at any time, one parent/caregiver will be required to help out during class on a rotating basis. This class continues study in rhythm patterns, music notation and terminology. Music is explored through singing, playing instruments, movement and listening in a fun, structured environment.
Level 3 (Kindergarten/Third Grade)

This one-hour class is designed to prepare and teach young students to play a musical instrument, the recorder. As in level 2, one parent/caregiver will be required to help during class on a rotating basis. The first few weeks of class will be devoted to learning note names and basic music theory. Recorder basics will follow, and the students will learn to play several fun songs. Mastering a musical instrument can be a very rewarding experience for a child. |
